DESCRIPTION:Mental Health First Aider Course Online \nBelow is the outline of the learning outcomes across the 4 mornings. The dates and times are: \n12th\, 13th\, 14th and 15th August 9.30am – 1.30pm each day.  You must attend all 4 sessions to complete the course. \nAs an MHFAider you’ll be able to: \n\nRecognise those that may be experiencing poor mental health and provide them with first-level support and early intervention\nEncourage a person to identify and access sources of professional help and other supports\nPractise active listening and empathy\nHave a conversation with improved mental health literacy around language and stigma\nDiscuss the MHFAider role in depth\, including boundaries and confidentiality\nPractise self-care\nKnow how to use the MHFAider Support App®\nNote: Learners will be given temporary access to the app for the duration of their course.
