DESCRIPTION:Mental Health First Aider Course – Face to Face in Wokingham\, Berkshire \nBelow is the outline of the learning outcomes across the 2 days.  The dates are the 19th and 20th August 9.30am to 6pm each day. You must attend both days to complete the course. \nAs an MHFAider you’ll be able to: \n\nRecognise those that may be experiencing poor mental health and provide them with first-level support and early intervention\nEncourage a person to identify and access sources of professional help and other supports\nPractise active listening and empathy\nHave a conversation with improved mental health literacy around language and stigma\nDiscuss the MHFAider role in depth\, including boundaries and confidentiality\nPractise self-care\nKnow how to use the MHFAider Support App®\nNote: Learners will be given temporary access to the app for the duration of their course. See below for more information on our MHFAider Support App.\nKnow how to access a dedicated text service provided by Shout and ongoing learning opportunities with MHFA England\n\nCost = £250 + VAT \n**The training room is on the 2nd floor in the building and does not have access to a lift.  Please be aware before booking your place that you are able to make the stairs.**
