DESCRIPTION:Mental Health First Aider Course – Face to Face in Wokingham\, Berkshire \nBelow is the outline of the learning outcomes across the 2 days.  The dates are the 4th and 5th December 9.30am to 5.30pm each day. You must attend both days to complete the course. \nAs an MHFAider you’ll be able to: \n– Recognise those that may be experiencing poor mental health and provide them with first-level support and early intervention \n– Encourage a person to identify and access sources of professional help and other supports \n– Practise active listening and empathy \n– Have a conversation with improved mental health literacy around language and stigma \n– Discuss the MHFAider role in depth\, including boundaries and confidentiality \n– Practise self-care \n– Know how to use the MHFAider Support App®\nNote: Learners will be given temporary access to the app for the duration of their course. \n– Know how to access a dedicated text service provided by Shout and ongoing learning opportunities with MHFA England \nCost = £250 + VAT \nTo book\, click on the MHFA England link below or contact bookings@claritashrandtraining.com \n**The training room is on the 2nd floor in the building and does not have access to a lift.  Please be aware before booking your place that you are able to make the stairs.**
