Amanda Fielding
Director and HR Consultant
Amanda started Claritas HR & Training back in May 2012 as she wanted to
support small business with their HR requirements. Having been a HR Manager for a number of years in different sectors she was passionate about small businesses having access to the same level of HR support that larger businesses have.
Amanda loves working with business owners to support them as they grow their business and teams. With her years of experience she is able to help them with many aspects of their team development from helping them take on the right people for their team to promoting people into new roles as they develop and the business needs change.
Every business is different and Amanda enjoys putting the right HR practices in place for that business. All documents are produced to be specific to the needs of that business as well as ensuring they are legally compliant.
When she is not working Amanda enjoys watching F1, rugby (avid Wasps fan) and tennis. Another passion is gardening, taking her garden from quite a plain garden to one that is full of flowers and a haven for the bees.
Amanda has two charities that mean a lot to her and they are Cancer Research UK and the MS Society which is why she makes a £50.00 donation to them every time a new client comes on board.

Katie Whelpdale
Katie started her Virtual Assistant business in 2020 during COVID. Her previous dog walking business was a victim of the lockdown, and it wasn’t old enough to receive grant assistant from the Government. She ended up having to close that business and had to think on her feet because there were bills to pay.
Around Katie’s dog walking business, she helped a local bookkeeper with her admin. It was her client that suggested she started a Virtual Assistant business – something that could survive if we had another lockdown. The rest, they say, is history!
Katie’s background before dog walking was in charity dealing with members of the public. The skills she developed from previous jobs worked well in her Virtual Assistant business, meaning that she can build a rapport quickly with her clients. Katie’s passion is to help clients to recover their work life balance and to make more time for them to spend as they please. No one started their business just to sit and do admin (well, except Katie…).
Katie loves working with Claritas HR & Training – “They are a wonderful team to work with and I enjoy helping them to keep on top of their admin”.
In her spare time she enjoys running, open water swimming, reading, and gardening. She volunteers for local charities and like to give back to the community where she can.
